Default How to proceed; The results!!!

Hi everyone,
I took all the help everyone offered and here is what I found out:

my brakes lines were flushed and adjusted and the car now stops without pulling and is just fine to drive around.

my suspension was checked and it turned out my bushings on the control arms were gone so they replaced the arms and then aligned the steering and now the car drives like a dream!!! The steering box is fine.

This car runs and drives better than it has for over 20 years, the people at Mustang Service Center in Glendale AZ were very nice and helped me with everything. I figure I have a lot of fun driving once the weather gets a little better.

One question is there a reason for me to consider a dual master cylinder?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

If your brake lines were flushed and you have all new fluid in the brake system, then you are good to go with a drum system.

Mine is an early 65 with a single master cylinder. The brakes sure work fine is it a big deal to switch to a dual master?

I agree. I juts has a dual master cylinder put on. It's pricey but - I think it's one of the top priorities in upgrading your Mustang.

Good to hear that a little rehab was all that was needed. A dual master cylinder just provides a somewhat redundant braking system. One cylinder operates the front brakes and the other operates the rear brakes. This way it is unlikely that both your front and rear brakes would go out at the same time. your braking would be diminished, but you wouldn't lose it entirely. As I mentioned in a response to your first post,I would install, or have installed, a dual master cylinder with power booster if that is available for your year Mustang. That's whatI plan to do with my 68, replace the original dual MC with a dual MC and power booster.
