Default PULLED MY ENGINE AND TRANNY!!!

hey guys, i spent yesterday pulling my engine and tranny. came out pretty clean and thanks for the kitty liter advice...extremely helpful and easy to clean afterwards. everything came out pretty smoothly until the very end wen i pulled the trans off of the block. so i pulled it out and theres like this big round thing thats between the block and tranny. i think its called the torque converter. i tried taking it out but i cant. theres 3 bolts and wen i try to unscrew one of them...the whole thing turns as im turning the bolt....any suggestions?

Yeah hold the flexplate with a big screwdriver stuck through the holes and wedged against the block. I imagine you have a rather large puddle around the engine right now, two quarts of ATF covers a HUGE area on a flat floor... and its slick er than snot ona doorknob, so be carefull.. You dont want to break a hip fallin in that stuff..

A socket/ratchet on the crank pulley being help by someone else holding it.

A word of caution: Do NOT put the torque convert onto the flexplate before attaching the tranny. It's a good way to destroy the pump. You'll have to seat the torque converter into the tranny, attach the tranny to the engine, and then pull the torque converter onto the flex plate.
