Ok I just put the replacement stock air cleaner on and the hood wont close..![:@]

seems the new edelbrock carb & intakesticks up to high is there a smaller carb to intake gasket? The air cleaner sits about an inch too high. The chrome after market air cleaner work just fine but I would like to use the stock unit for the ram air seal...

The LED tail lights are BAD *SS..!!

Thanks in advance
JW

If this is the same guy thats in Jacksonville Fl. Hes very highly priced
He wanted to sell me a pair of used sport lights and a small grill onament for $125. I bought them, only to find outthey retail new for $33 a piece and the grill ornament retails for $19. through the catalogs..

He had ram air units from $1200 used-$2500 new

I went to fordramair and paid $600 for a brandnewcomplete kit. I rarely like to get bent over so now I shopped around for the best price...
http://www.fordramair.com/new/produc..._air_units.htm

So if you think the quoted cost is to high for USED parts, shop around.
Heres a site with stock new air cleaner units (have to scrolldown the page towards the bottom) (Or google search for the parts)
http://www.mustangproject.com/Catalo...d-970c74593529

Again , Im not trying to step on anyones toes. But I am sure no one likes to get bent over when buying USED parts.

I can understand asking a high price for rare or very hard to find part new/used. But not when you can buy the part new/repro cheaper than the used price and its new!

Good luck!

I went insearch of the (rare) seat mounting tracks for a 71-73 mustang. I called all over the U.S. I found a junk yard that had a set, he said they where rusty and they would only cost me $350 + shipping.. (klunk = me hitting the floor) I found a metal shop and had mine reinforced and rewelded for $30.00, The shop owner hit them with a small sledge hammer and said these babys are solid!..

So again shop around, and google for parts.
Happy Holidays!

I agree with RModel. If you need any kind of original mustang parts, mustangmasters.com is a great source.Freddy doesn't give anything away, as a matter of fact, a lot of his prices are higher than giraffe *****, but he has the parts and is a great source of knowledge for Ford/Mustang information. I have purchased several items from him over the years and have found him to be an honest and God fearing man. He usually has several auctions running on Ebay also.
Just an opinionon the new repop versus the used original. NOTHING beats factory fit and finish. The repop will look good for a little while but will invariably start to loose it's luster, or break or start to pit/rust. If you have a choice between a nice used original piece or a new repop, even if the original is a bit more expensive, I always try to go original. I have always been happier in the long run
