Default Pony seat upholstery

I'm new to this forum, and am starting to resto-mod a '66 convertible, so I'm sure I'll be here a lot....

The current project I'm working on is converting the standard seats to pony seats. I got the covers (TMI), got the buns, noted how things were put togetheras I disassembled the old seats, but have a major concern. The covers seem to have a place near the bottom of each side of the back (on either side of thelumbar area) that kind of "bow" out, but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding bow on the buns. I'm concerned that I don't have the rignt buns.

Has anyone done such a conversion before? Did the buns you gothave pretty straight sides on the back, but the sides of the back of the covers not? If so, is the cover REALLY pulled tight enough to get rid of that bow?

btw, thelocationsof the listings in both the cover and the buns align....

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I'm an idiot now, aren't I? [&o] That was it. New buns on order.

One other upholstery-related question - Since I can't work on the front seats, I've moved to the rear bench. The foam is A MESS and is going to make it very difficult to put back together. Why can't I find any rear bench seat foam replacements? Is the back seat a build-it-yourself upholstery job?
