Default Vert rear window

My dad and I just got a 65 convertible and the rear window is pretty dirty. What is the best way to clean it or will we have to replace it...price...simplicity to install?

glass or plastic? the glass some 0000 fine steel wool will clean it nicely just make sure to blow the car off afterwards or it will leave little rust stains on the glass!!!

for general glass cleaning use newspaper with windex

for a plastic rear window they sell plastic cleaners check the local parts store if the windows dryed out it need to be replaced

Aren't all Mustangs glass window verts? Replacing it shouldn't be horribly expensive, but may be a better option. The best option would be to just leave the top down.

Part of the problem with the plastic windows is that people use ammonia cleaners which dry them out and paper towels which scratch them. To clean them use Plexus or Pledge (furniture polish). If they are already clouded, you can try using a good scratch remover like Novus.

Oh yeah, make sure to only use soft cloths and plain water to clean.
