Not many replies, but 10 for manuals and 3 for autos.

Needs a third choice: Both.
Manual in first.
Triptronic in second.
Auto in last.

You know what they say about second place?

It's the first loser.

3-spd auto in mine, but I would like it to be manual someday. There's just something about cars like these that makes you want to shift them. I was thinking about a new mustang at one time and had I bought one, manual would have been a requirement. I just don't understand why some people buy cars with all that power and give up the ability to wind it up.

After you reach a certain power level, the auto becomes a better solution. It's also better for track vehicles due to its ability to shift quick and more consistant than any human with a shifter.

For daily drivers, a stick is fun. But, sometimes, you just want to be a little more lazy and just cruise. I don't care for slushboxes and modify every auto I get a hold of (even the Explorer) to make the shifts more crisp.

wife loves her auto....she manually shifts that thing so well that she has been asked if it's a 3 or 4 speed tranny by the young guys she smokes at the lights.....built right an auto is a great deal of fun....i still love a 4 speed, but it's her car....
