Default Flex-a-lite fans

I just ordereda flex-a-lite fan from Summit Racing on Thursday. It came in today so I was pretty satisfied because of the quick shipping. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that my rad is on backorder and that the bolts that came with my spacer were too short. It was all capped off nicely though when I found out that the new fan doesn't clear my lower radiator hose after test fitting it. It's probably my fault for not checking with the diameter before ordering it but Summit said that it was for my application. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions for fitting it?

I have the 17" flex fan on my '71. Your '67 should be a 16" or so. Your only solution would be to tell Summit they are wrong and have them trade you. I've had to do that before.

You could try to use a lower radiator hose flex fit if your current hose is molded. if it doesn't work just take it back.

I guess if you are that close to summitt, then yeah, take it back and get one that fits your application.

Took it back and got a 16". The pathetic thing is that it's Summit's hq (about 15min away) and I've never been there before. There is some sweet stuff inside. I was hoping to see some customers with cool cars in the parking lot too but there was nothing but riced out civics and celicas

I haven't mounted mine yet, but I got the 17" fan after searching the net. It is "supposed" to fit.
