So, it starts just fine, and idles just fine. But, whenever you push down on the accelrator, it dies. Is that what we are hearing?

That part I got I think.

A little more detail would go a long way, esp if we're going to give a diagnosis over the internet. *It dies when I push the gas* could be any number of things.

Did this just start?
Did this start after the issue with the ignition switch?
Did you do a recent tune up? If not, when was the last one?
Does this happen at operating temps? Cold?

This list gets longer, however, those questions could get us started.

Ya sorry i kinda was in a hurry to get out the door when i wrote that. so i can start the car up fine it doesn't stay on for more than 2 seconds. I didnt mean when you hit the gas it cuts off, i was saying that when you hit the gas it should keep runnnig am i right, well when i hit the gas nothing happens so i cant keep it going and it dies. i just got a brand new battery and ignition switch.

I looked in the valve on the carb and hit the gas pedal and i dont see any gas getting to it. So my dad said that you can just poor gas directly into the carb and it should keep it going. Well that didn't work so i don't no what it is. Sorry about the non detailed first one.
