Default 302 Falcon distributor question...

I have a 1970 Falcon I am installing a 302 from an 82 Ford Econoline in. My question is, What should I do with the ignition? I am not looking for a lot of power, just a low budget cruising car. Any help would be appreciated....THANKS!!

I'd get a one-wire (aka all in one)dizzy with the ignition control built in for what you want. I would spend the money on a high quality unit, like MSD or Accel.

Assuming you don't want to pay the bucks for the all-in-one listed above, you could probably find a Duraspark II distributor and computer from a u-pull it yard for not very much money. That said, your time alone probably makes the all-in-one a better option.

+1 on the Petronix - if nothing else, just the simplicity.

You have a lot of nerve coming on here and talking about a falcon on a mustang site! Having said that, look at my sig pic! But ya, +2 for the Pertronix.

It is a 2 door, 99% rust free, has 107,000 original milesand I bought it from the original owner. Just another toy to play with.Yup, I got some nerve posting Falcon stuff on here all right!! LOL I am a Mustang owner myself(I own 2 actually) and I knew I could count on ya'll to come through with correct answers, since the old Falcons aint much different from the old Stangs. Thanks a bunch

Was Ford still making Falcons in 1970? Those years are a blur to me since I was dodging bullets in 'Nam. The pertronix is a very good upgrade from points, and you don't have to lay out the big bucks.
