I personally like the pin-striping put on OVER the primer! Very nice!

Looks like a very good starting point. What color are you thinking of?

Yeah, the pinstriping got a good laugh from me the first timeI saw it too. The son is going to be using this as a DD. He wants a black interior and (God forbid) a black exterior with lime green rally stripes. Dont worry, I'm gonna talk him outta this real fast. The original colors we picked out are a Dupont blue effect over all and silver effect rally stripes. The blue is a a nice dark bluemetallicand the silver of course is silver metallic. Not to flashy in the shade but when it hits the sun.....it sparkles. Right now we are working onvery much needed front suspension repairs. New ball joints...upper and lower arm bushings. We just finishedwith the brakes, toploader shifter, and idler arm repairs. Still have some steering box repairs that need to be looked into though. The cowls are in good shape thank God. There is a bit of rust starting to come out on the passengers door and will ahve to be dealt with sooner or later. This will actually be a rolling restomod project. Back and forth to work and school and repaired when money is available for the parts. For those that wanted some interior shots....here they are.

sweet, i had a 65 about a year ago, though it had some very light surface rust and a big dent under the floopan which was somewhat concerning. now i got a 66 with 39,000 original miles one owner, of whom we are good friends with so i kno it's not 139000 or 23900 or even 1390000 lol
here's that old 65

Good lookin ride! The sonwants the hood. I gotta get him out there with a sander and some paper to start on the minor rust. Kinda like to get it to the car wash and pressure wash the engine compartment and do some painting in there and the engine too. Guess I really need to outline what needs to be done, then pick one item and work on it and then down through the list. Oh well things will get done eventually.

NOOOO. Not another six banger. Ok, Fair warning. Dont be on here in a couple months asking how hard it is to swap a I6 to a V8.

On edit, Wait, Is it a V8? I was just looking at the wheels and see 5 lugs. Did somebody remove the embelm?
