Default Header choice....

Is there an advantage (or disadvantage) to using Tri Y's, long tube, medium or 'shorty' headers? Thanks.

Depending on the application, some give more torque, more horsepower or both to a degree.

My 65 has hooker comp long's 4 into 1. I was thinking about going tri-y's but I need to do more research to see if I am going to get the results I want.

On a side note, Horsepower on Spike last weekend had a show on headers. Go to Spike or even apple itunes and download the show. It should cover all the questions you have.

Thanks. After reading the article grruminator78linked up, it sounds like Tri Y's are the way to go, IMO.

Guess this leads to my next question. Does anyone have Tri Y'son a '68' 302 w/ PS? If so, any mods needed to anything except the head pipes? ie; PS or starter? And do H-pipes add improvment also?
