You can't build a car for what he's asking for it. It might seem high but not over priced...
That's what we're saying LCC. He most likely has more money into it than he is asking for it. That engine upgrade is a big chunk of that asking price, and he only put a few miles on it. What a shame.
I would kill for that engine...one of the best looking 289's I've seen. He's got it posted at a bunch of places. Hopefully he'll get it sold soon.

He sold it and bought a Nova, or so he said. And, I thought he only got 15k for it.

Sorry, not gonna do a search to find the numbers. Never had any luck with search...even if I could see the post on the first page.[&:]

yes what I was saying is that it is a shame you don't ever get what you put in, and if I didn't know the guy and was just looking at the car, i'd throw 13 at him being nice, If I was being an *** I'd lowball at about 10

I just know that after I am done with my car, I will buy another project. I will never sell my mustang given its family history, but I guess if you have no ties to a car you've got to let it go.

The same guy on craigslist was selling a chevelle ss.

He didn't have it dyno'ed, but I think he thought he would have 350-400 hp. Somewhere in the archives should be a thread where he (slickman) disscusses all the upgades in the engine.

It's a good example of putting more money into a classic Mustang than you can get back out of it. He's asking 17,500 for a modified car, and we wish him luck in getting that much for it.
Whether or not thats what he has into the car, I think getting that asking price is hardly out of the question. His problem is he listed a car like that on Craigslist. You have to think about your selling audience just as much as your selling price. Craigslist is just full of a bunch of lowballers. I could see his car selling for his asking price at a place like GoodGuys, no problem.
