331 stoker motor combos
Ok Guys - I've got a 302 block that I am planning on using for a 331 stroker build up. I'd like to pick everyone's brain for good combos for the motor. It is to be used as a driver on the street so nothing radical - but rather everything has to work well together (obviously...)

If your looking for ideas from all ends of the spectrum, save lots of money and go with a windsor. The 331 isn't much more power than the 302 anyway. If you don't go with a windsor, just stick with the 302. You will be able to make as much power and have the reliability too. Just my .02

just a thought...why wouldnt you do a 347 stroker. The costs have come down so that as far as I knew, there wasnt a lot of difference between 347 and 331. You still have to buy all the other goodies regardless.
Price difference and reliabilty is minimal between the 331 and 347. I'm going 331 with my '65 Fairlane...already have the roller block.
RHS makes good heads, the 180's would probably be fine for most street engines. Keep the 050 duration in the low 220 range. A Stealth dual plane would be good for streetability. The compression ratio should be in the 9's somewhere. Top it off with a Holley or Demon 600cfm double pumper.
TCI and Fluidampr make good harmonic balancers.
Get yourself an MSD 6AL system with one of their dedicated dizzy's. You can get a timing control module, so you won't have to worry about mech or vacuum timing advance.
I've had good luck with Comp Cams for valvetrain.
I have a crank from Brother's Performance and it looks like a good piece for a decent price.
Rods have 2 different sizes of pins available. Get the larger pins (the smaller would be beneficial for the 347 stroker).
