Where to hook up vacuum
I asked on here a while back how to hook up the vacuum on my 66 automatic. I found out that they go to the carb, but when I went to hook them up, the carb only has one port which I assumed is for the advance. Should I hook up the tranny to the manifold?
I figured if I split off of the carb, that would tak away vacuum from both things. What is ported manifold vacuum? Just straight from the manifold? I have a little manifold vacuum thing that screws into it.
Where do you think that port on the carburetor gets its' vacuum from ? The manifold, of course.
You can tap into the manifold right behind the carburetor, Just take out the plug and add a port.

That is exactly where mine is on my 67 289 , brass fitting with and another fitting to push the rubber hose on ,I would post pics but got anew computor and need to load program to resize pic so they can be up loaded.
On my 68, and as you can see on Soarings 65, there is a port just back of the carb coming of the intake manifold. Mine has a brass fitting with four connections (two of which are currently in use) screwed into the manifold.

Hey, is that retainer bolted to the valve cover for the wire loom stock?
