Default weld wheels?

I just ordered some Boyd "junkyard dogs" 17x8's for my 66...bad thing is that the front wheels need to be built specifically for the 66 straight from boyd's...so the back two wheels will be in on Saturday...they ordered me some 245's to play it safe but they are bringing in some 275's also so i can try them out to see if they will clear the rear....i hope so.....

anyways, i recently sold my 03 mach 1, and i had some weld pro stars...15x3.5 and 15x 10's....i know the 15x10's wont fit BUT will the front fit? If so, maybe i can order some 15x8's for the rear...would they fit...with a 4.5 backspace? thanks for the help guys!!!

oh yeah, i just ordered the 620's and the 5 reverse leaf springs with kyb's all around....the car should look sharp!!!

Yeah they should fit the front. But you will need different lugnuts since the 03 had metric studs and the 66 is SAE.. Not sure what backspace you need to fit an 8" rim under a 66.. 4.5" works okay on a 67 though..

17x8 wheels use the same backspacing on the front and back (unless you changed your rear end or something) why do you have to wait for special fronts?

the front and rear have not been changed at all...it is 100% stock....it didnt make sense that the wheels would have to be custom made...they said that the front wheels had to be 0 offset for it to fit right...that doesnt make sense at all....let me call these guys and make sure then...

back to the weld q's....i just got the 15x8's in with a 4.5 bs and they dont look like they will fit...i have 1.5 inches before they hit the rear leafs...which is good...but they seem to stick out and doesnt look like they will clear the fender once a tire is mounted...once i mount the tire i have to keep the wheels according to weld....i'm having absolutely no luck at all this week when it comes to wheels!!! I might just send them back to play it safe...any suggestions?

Not specifically mentioned in our PMs....but you are running stock rear and stock rear drums right?

You should be fine with the 235 60 15 tire you want to run

I have 15 x 8 front and rear with 245 60 15's. I'm not positive, but I think mine are 3.5" back space. I can check if someone lets me know how to measure it. I did have to roll the rear slightly not to rub.
