Default Engine Art - Black Valve Covers

Today my "Ford Racing" valve covers arrived. I was concerned that they would look cheesy. But I must say they are very good looking -black powder coated with red writing and outline. I recommend them highly.

Soon my shopwill be doing a mock up of all the engine pieces to detemine the best configuration for thefinal color and finish of all pieces. I know most of thereaders on this site strongly prefer stock engines - and I respect that. However, since my 66 came with a heavily chromed engine I decided to approach the heart of the beastas a work of art -- a melding of black and chromeand polished aluminum. Powerful but tastefully understated is my goal.

The outside of my fastback will remain stock. However, every engine bay piece - from the Paxton supercharger to the Griffin radiator, to the Demon carb, to every hing and hose- has been selected for performance and styling. Although I suspect a lot of people hate this concept, even the long-term, die-hard Mustang guys in the shop are getting excited by the project.

I've really enjoyed this process. And I hope it turns out well.

Iwill take pictures as soon as asssembly is completed (in the next week or two).
