Default Audio and such

Hey everyone

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on speaker placement in a 65 convertible? My friends going to install it all. We already have the ideas of the kick panels and put the head unit in the glovebox. Problem is that the current radio is hooked up but oddly there aren't any speakers in the whole car. Where else in the car could we place speakers to keep without cutting anything up too badly?

Thanks for the help

Andy

If your going to put a stereo system in your car, make sure its HIDDEN! Head unit in the glovebox is a good start. A speaker may be under the package tray which is the carboard thing under the rear window. Stick your head in the trunk and look up. Also, one is probably under the dash in the middle under the front window. On my 67 you can uninstall it from under the dash area...

Kicks, rear side panels under cig lighter, middle of the dash are easiest spots. If youu ever want to go factory again those pieces are very cheap and easy to replace.

baddog...its a convertible so no package tray.

We also have a console in the middle. I think we're getting some nice carbon fiber cone 6 1/2's in the kicks then do a 10 in sub in the trunk all powered by an amp with a 5 channel head unit. something easy. probably get some sound deadening in there too

thanksn for the help

why not fab something up behind the rear seat so you get some sound from the back since there is no package tray?
