I think the intent of those factory badges is to advertise CI. in fact why not put 289, It'll be hard to tell the difference anyway (until you somke some tires)

So I should drop everything and do the procharged 540 with Tiger heads and the IA II block and billet crank... Should be good for around 1400hp.. give or take a few hundred.

because the heads are $5000, the block is $3000, and the crank is $2500. Doesnt include pistons, solid roller cam, and all the other attendant items to build an engine. Then I still need a chassis that can handle it, and the old Bird just isnt gonna work for that.
