Default Frame Connectors

I just got back from my shop. The guys are insalling the frame connectors. They look great (and yes, I'll post pictures of them whenI remeber to bring my camera).

Has anyone put connectors on their Mustang - and, if so, can you describe the difference they make?

And finally, all the pieces - supercharger, radiator, carburator, valve covers, water pump, etc. are now in. They start assembling the engine next week - I'll document with several pixs.

Havent put them on Mustangs, but have put a bunch on GM F bodys. Made a world of difference on the 79 Formula that I race. Big difference with those cars is the subframe infront is a seperate piece, so they flex a bunch if you dont have solid mounts and connectors.

You shoudl like it, gives a nice taut feeling, as long as the suspension isnt shot.

The connectors being put on my car are from Drake Scott. In addtion to be welding on they are also lolted on. And yes, you need a lift.

It's interesting to note that my shop mocked up two other types of connectors befroe setteling on this. The first was tubuar - it look way out of place on a 66 Mustang. The second were flat bout were too deep and protuded down too far - it was really desinged for racers. The ones I'm using look like they were born with the car.

i did mine shelby style...sounded great...had to remove the exhaust though because the new tranny was too wide. and i wanted to undercoat the whole bottom as well. currie 9' is in now too.
