If Im not mistaken, factory calipers for a 66 are kinda pricey. Maybe not, Im not sure. Either way, just see how much the local parts storeS want for a pair rebuilt, then see how much and what is involved in a rebuild kit. Its not that hard, basically just a couple seals and make sure the piston and bore are clean and rust free.

They could be right, but there are other reasons for what you describe. The rotors could be warped. You should be able to rebuild them yourself.

i always use times like these to upgrade. if you can afford it upgrade to some drilled and slotted rotors and upgrade the calipers. you can get them powder coated for about 50$

Rotors are nearly brand new. only part of brakes that arnt is the calipers themselves.so no uprgrades to the rotors i want to get through it as inexpensive as possible unless upgraded calipers offer alot.

umm you can usually get rebuilt ones cheap just don't get the ones that are all decked out with everything and te most expensive set of pads in them that drops the price significantly or a rebuild kit wich stores really don't stock much of now a days cause rebuilt stuff is fairly affordable or nearly the same like i coulda rebuilt my wheel cylinders for 8 a piece or i coulda boght new ones for 13 a piece i bought the rebuilt and saved time which is a valuable thing

As I recall, if they are the GT style 4 piston calipers, they are gonna cost $150. ea. I need them too. Not sure about rebuild kits but i'm pretty sure i've seen them, at least replacement pistons.
