How much is the typical price for one? Like is there a blue book type of value for them?
Im looking into getting one but I dont know how much to offer..Its in a 1970 fastback im not sure what kind of tranny is in it though, the man wants $1,800 for the car but its HORRIBLE... but I do want the motor..

1800 for a 70 fastback (even in bad condition) with a 351C is worth maybe 1800. i would buy the car and replace everything, but thsats jsut me, i go crazy over 69/70 cars

I love 1969-1970's....But I honestly dont believe its worth trying to save...I mean EVERYTHING minus the motor and tranny need to be changed, if i get a chance too ill take some pics next time im there.

Last weekend I bought my 67 coupe from the same man for $600, and plan to buy the 65/64 coupe he has there aswell for $1000.

But id like to put that 351 in the 67 if I can get it cheap enough.

just for the record, 64-66 mustangs were not interchangeable with 67/68

i guess since you alredy have a 67 coupe then just try and get the engine. although i would stillbuy the 70 and completely strip it down and jsut start with one piece at a time

take pics nonethelesss

IMO

69 > 67-68 > 70 > 64-66 > 71-73

and of course, the mustang II's are in a league of their own (for better or worse... but i love em)

if it hasnt been through a fire or spent time in a river, isnt crushed or severely wrecked like a train hit it, I would love to have a 70 fastback. Whats dead to some is only mostly dead to me. I have an extra Cleveland block that needs a crank and heads, so we could make a trade if the car isnt too far gone to me, and you arent on the other side of the world from Michigan or Wisconsin...

If nothing else, I would take the roller off your hands..

I know I was planning to buy the 64/65 whichever it is and put it in the garage and pic at it, the 67 is my top priority.

If I had the space and money I would get the complete car but I just dont have that extra money right now (im still in highschool).

I would not give more than $150 for a Cleveland unless it is disassembled for inspection.
You must have good cylinder walls and heads were subject to cracking and need to be magnafluxed.
I gave $200 for one years ago and the heads were cracked. The rest of it was good. Now I have a very nice $2600.00 engine.

It's available. I'm converting it to a Hydraulic Roller cam now and cantake pics of the inside if you want it.
My flat cam is for sale too along with a Weiand intake.
