Default power steering

I am getting ready to start buying stuff for the rebuild and find myself questioning whether I should put power steering on the car or not - I have upgraded to rack and pinion and wanted to retain a strong feeling for the road. What do most of you guys have with your rack and pinion setups?

I had power steering on my 67, 289 Coupe and didn't like. I really like it without the power set up , better feel for the road.. Would like to know too if power is needed with R/P steering.

I have had people tell me that the rack & pinion has a feeling "somewhere between manual and power" - it is light and rear wheel drive so it sounds about right (the rack would be easier to turn and feel better than the pittman I reckon).......

We pony car owners don't need power steering, and especialy if you have R&P. You muscle car guys probably do though.
