Default 6 Cyl Conversion

I have a 67 coupe with a 200 in it, I am going to beef up the suspention, will i need new control arms or just springs? Then replace the spindles to a 5 lug along with disc brakes. will the auto tranny work with a 351 or simmular? Is there anything im missing?

i would just go will all new suspension, repalce all to 5lugs, and you need a new transmission, your missing motor mounts, rear axle, driveshaft, and any small misc things

Sure, that C4 tranny will work behind a 351. In addition to the whole front suspension, you will need a new rear endthough. We have some articles written about the swap up in theFAQ section right here on the classic section.

if you are changing the spindles to v8. on a 65-66 i know you need to change the steering as well. inner outer tie rods, centerlink, idlerarm, and pitman arm. not sure if that is the case for the 67. i just finished doing the complete conversion if you have any questions let me know. the SSbrakes conversion was a cinch. you'll have to change some things on the c4 to make it work as well, flywheel, bell housing, torque converter. rear end has to be changed out too as soaring said
