Default 302 turned boss

what all would have to be done to convert a regular 302 to be considered a boss 302?

289 rods specific pistons the cleve head mentioned above although a 2v cleve head would be a better choice for a 302 and an adapter manifold

Think 347 with 2V heads on it and cleveland style pistons.. how much power and where depends on compression, intake and cam choice..

for the money a good set of afr165 head will give u the same power and more street driveability the cleve heads are awesome but on a 302 are kinda a slouch car craft did a buid on a 302 withthe afr 165's and got 400hp out of it the might be a link in the faq if not just search the car craft tech pages www.carcraft.com

too much involved with making a boss. for 1 you have to drill new holes in the 302 block to accomodate the cleveland heads

Like said, Aftermarket heads are better the cleveland heads now. So just buy a good set of aftermarket heads.

not really better just more suited for a 302 and u dont have to drill holes in the block the mods are done to the water passages on the cleve heads(the cleve intake is dry no water goes thru like a 289/302 head)

I'd still take a 351W with aftermarket heads over a cleveland just for the cleveland blocks suck. I do cherish cleveland heads though, if i ever find some, im going to get them for the hell of it.
