My 1965 Mustang GT coupe that my parents just bought is nearing the painting phase of the restoration. It was originally burgandy but was repainted dark green. I was thinking about painting it a little lighter green with lots of metal flake in it and then I was going to paint a black GT stripe on the side, but I haven't decided yet if I'm going to put to black racing stripes over the car yet. What do you guys think?

if yoru going to paint it that color of green, why not hit it with a Mach 1style stripeinstead ofracing stripes. Instead of rounding it off at the front of the hood, you could carry it all the way through the car. Thats what i did on my 69'

What kind of a two-tone?

 

bottom half will be grey and the top half will be a dark red, or cranberry
