Default out with the old in with the new---problems

Well, I havent posted barely at all here but i finally got to getting the worn out 289 replaced with a new 302.

Well, we are trying to re-use most of the stuff from the old 289..like fuel pump, alt, water pump, pulleys.

The problem i am running into is with the old 3-bolt design on the 289 and now the 4-bolt design on the pulleys.

Where could i source a pulley?, the water pump one works but now i got a 4 bolt crank....found one off a truck but its too big..What years could i rob one off?[&o]

The easiest way to get a 4-bolt pulley for the crankis to source a new aftermarket one from Summit. Seeing that you want to re-use a water pump, I'm guessing that you'd rather go to a junkyard and find one. Personally, I'd never re-use a water pump, instead putting a new one with a new motor. The fuel pump is easy enough to change and doesn't typically fail catastrophically like a water pump can (goodbye radiator if the shaft gets spit out, BTDT).
