'65 lock help

Default '65 lock help

I have a '65 mustang coupe and I need help replacing my door locks can anyone give me some advice on what i need to remove and tools I need to get this done.

First step is to pull off the door panels with a door panel removal tool. Next peel of the weathershield(plastic material that way you get a look at the lock and its retainer on the inside of the door. Your must remove the door rods and replace exactly as you removed them. Expect it to take a few hours of your time and don't get frustratedby the process!!

I forgot to mention that you remove the armrest, window, and door handle cranks before pulling the panel

after you get the door panal off you can reach up there and remove the u shaped clip that holds it on the door once thats out you can remove the rod from the back of the lock out side of the car where you can see what you are doing.
