Need timing chain cover

I cannot seem to find a timing chain cover that has this water jacket cap in it . Anyone know where i can get one?

This is on a 302 , i have gone to may shops and always come up with the wrong on i have 2 covers brand new that i cant even use i need the correct timing chain cover ,

are you going for concours resto? if no why cant you use another cover? if you ARE going for concours, cant you have this cover welded and repaired?

Well this timing cover is warped, and i tried to have it repaired but it leaks still, dont care what goes on there as long as it will fit . im having a hard time finding a timing cover with the plug in the cover,there is a water jacket in the block that is behinde that.. why is this a mustery part?

I had the early style timing cover and just converted to the newer style with no problems.There is an indentation in the lock that the old timing cover used to cover, but there is nothing there.

yeah i dont see why you need that same cover unless your trying to keep it original. also, how can it be warped so bad that permatex cant fix it? any decent machine shop should be able to mill it and help flatten it out for ya so theres an option. mine had serious pitting where the water pump met - i fixed with jb weld and a block of sand paper, and helicoiled a couple stripped threads. havent had one problem with it. heck, ive jb welded a leaking petcock on the radiator, and a leaking gas tank (which held until the tank rusted next to the jb and i had to get it sealed professionally)

yeah thats just an early 64 timing cover isnt it just get one off of any junkyard vehicle that has the dipstick in the front and ull be ok
