I think I've watched Bullitt over 50 times (the chase scene that is) Anyone notice that when McQueen and the Dodge are trading paint on the straightaway that the Charger's driver's door handle gets knocked off and underneath is blue paint. Looks like the car was originally B5 blue and repainted black.(A local dealership furnished the movie with 2 black '68 Chargers - must not have had two in stock so they painted one...)
Anyone remember seeing that old movie titled "Hot Rod" where the main character Brian Edison (Gregg Henry)goes to the Nationals, wrecks his car, pulls the hemi motor and stuffs it into a loaner *****'s. He then against all odds and a crooked sheriff continues on to win the Nationals for his class against the race sponsor's son. I searched high and low and couldn't remember the name but thanks to a buddy of mine he told me the title and I found the DVD on eBay. Thirty years later I got to watch it again - funny howI seemed much more entertaining when I was a kid, but nonetheless it was nice to see the old jalopy *****'s again.
