289 vs 302 what's the diff?

I have a 64 Fairlane 500 with a 260 in it.. makes a cool rattle sound when you turn the engine

depends on what years your covering.... the 255 was used for a brief time in the early 80's and then obviously the 4.6's from the mid 90s till present.
im guessing since mustangs came out half way thru 64 and they stopped the 260 in august there must not be too many of them around right? they worth more than a 64 1/2 289?
i've said it before and i'll say it again - i'd take a 289 over a 302 for street driving cause they will rev a tad quicker. snappy is gooooood

352s were in trucks and big cars. Not a performance engine and it wasnt offered in a Mustang, at least that I have ever heard of. The 390 was the smallest FE they offered.
