Default Strange Noise from Front Suspension

hey guys I dont know if any one has encounted this problem but it seems as i have a strange noise coming from the passenger front wheel well. the sound comes as the car turns or as the i turn the tires just setting. i do think that my power steering master cylinder is leaking. my car is a 68 mustang coupe with the 289. could the noise be ball joints or bad bushings?? how can i check this. any help would be greatly appericated. thanks

what kind of noise?... pop, squeel, moan, etc?... is it short or extended sound...

Little more help here ... could be ball joints, could be Upper arm, could be many things.

Hit those upper arms and ball joints with some grease. If you don't have zerks on them, put some on.

Hi !

yes :-) let us know how it sounds like or make an audio recording.
If your car sounds something like a couple having sex in a rusty old bed, it's usually just missing grease. Grease whatever joint you can find there and you might get rid of it.
If its some lowtone grinding it might be the wheel bearings. You say it's coming from a specific side of the car.
If it only happens on one side of the car and and if only happens in left or right hand corners then it is much likely to be the wheel bearings.

Otherwise please let us know as well under what circumstances the noise appears
always ? yes/no. if yes, does it sound different in different speeds or corners ?
if no, only accelerating, only cornering, only breaking, only ....

The noise sounds like the rustbed.almost like wet shoes on a basketball court.it happens when either the car is at a complete stop and i turn the wheels to get out of my parking place. or when i am backin out of my driveway it occurs as i go over the curb. it doesnt matter if i am turning right or left the sound still comes from up around the passenger wheel well.

If you are at a complete stop, and it squeals when you turn your steering wheel, it is the powersteering unit. It could either be a loose belt or it could be a bearing. Try tightening the belt to see if that stops it. You can also apply some belt dressing to keep the belt from squealing.

+1 on the loose belt I know it squeals when it is not at the right tension.
