Default post rear swap noise

So ever since I swtiched out my rear end with the 9 inch setup I Have a ungodly high pitched squeaking noise coming from what sounds like the trunk/shocks area. I have checked everything and the only conclusion I can come to is that I installed my spring and shock mount plates on the wrong side/upside down. and that is what is responsible for all this horrible noise! I'll attach a picture to see if that will help. Is that all my problem is?

its not the gears, it is a suspension realted squeak. When driving it is a semi constant squeak that with road bumps and suspension pull. I think it is the shock absorbers at the bottom, the setup doesn't look right to me. The bushings are not seated properly and I think the noise is coming from the washer rubbing against the spring plate. My thinking was that I had put the plates on wrong and if I swtiched them around then the bushings would line up properly and I wouldn't have the problem I currently have.

Those shock plates are on correct I just replaced my rear shocks this weekend and have no squeak noises. It could be the amount that you tightened the nuts to compress the shock bushings. Maybe you need a few more turns to eliminate that noise?? It could be squeaking at the top where the shock attached to the upper portion of the shock in the rear of the car under the seat??

The picture is of the passenger side, but the driver side looks exactly the same. It does look like the washer is rubbing up against the shock plate. So restomod66 you say I have my shock plates on right, but the angles just look all wrong to me. I would think that the shock, the bushings, and the shock plate would all line up in a nice straight line. Do your shocks look like mine? Are the bushings supposed to looked so incredibly crunched to the point the one of them is pushing through to the other side of the shock plate? I know the problem isn't that I have tigthened them down too much, it is just the angles that seem right to me, I thought that if I flipped and switched the plates then the angles might match up better with the shock and bushings.

I know nothing about this, but that doesn't look right. Looks like the squeaking is metal to metal contact. Could you have put the brackets on the wrong side of the car?

the shock plates are right. if you flip them, the hole will be facing back the other way!!!

the shock rubbers are worn or you have done them up too tight. They should have lock nuts and you do them up firm enought to start squashing the rubbers but not so much that they are distorting. Have you replaced the rubbers any time recently?

if you undid the springs to get the diff in, it could also be the spring rubbers.
