New Poll! Which to do first?
Still running the daily driver 67 with 4-wheel drums and only lap belts up front. Both mods will be done eventually, but which would you do first?
(Money is a factor, but for purposes of this poll, assume it is not.)
Looking forward to your replies. Cheers!

Which do you plan on using more, brakes or a roll cage? Before you answer, if you say roll cage, you probably don't need to worry about the brakes at all. If the tires are in the air, it really doesn't matter if they are spinning or not.

My thoughts - just so you know:
- Brakes - obviously a super upgrade, and would help me stay out of trouble if I ever got myself into trouble. But, if someone else (say, an L.A. SUV driver talk'n on a cell phone and applying make-up) decided to get me into trouble, then new brakes "might" help - and if they didn't I'd be flying around the cabin with at least a busted jaw.
- Roll cage AND harness - let's not forget the harnesses here folks, as the car only has a lap belt at present. If I ever got into trouble, whether self-induced or involuntarily at the mercy of another, then at least "I" would be safe. The car can be repaired/replaced, but obviously we cannot be.
So that's where the dilemma arose. Indeed, both will be done.
An hey eZ - don't worry, I never drive into Corona!
Man thats a tough one. Im right there with ya on cage and the brakes. Id say go for the cage and harnesses, like you said, if some a-hole slams you those lap belt arent going to do a whole hell of a lot.
But, Id opt for the cage and harnesses.

Now I like that intelligent response, and it sounds well enough to be downright convincing.

. I'd get a harness (or at least 3pts) and the disc brakes. That will be fine if you're not racing.
In my Jeep TJ, I added the full welded in 6-point cage first to go along with the lift and 35" tires. After swapping in a hydroboost, I realized how scary the stock brakes were with tires that size and should've done them first. My 2 cents.
Rorin67, which "beach in SoCal" are you at? I know I'd remember your Mustang if I'd seen it. Looks sharp.
