1967 vin question

Default 1967 vin question

a friendof mine was looking at a project 1967 convertible today and looked at the vin at the engine code, he said it was a Y. is this car rare and how many were produced? any help would be great

never heard of it....never...t is a 6 cyl. are you sure its the correct digit, 5th?

yes its definately a Y i asked him and his other friend the same question. so im going to look tomorrow.

it's a 390 2V
(engine code Y)
but it's only listed under 1968

no idea if that's a rare thing though
best thing would be to get the whole vin and data tag. that should give you more info on how many were produced

Y code is for a 390 2v but it was only availavle in 1968.

i went and looked at it and itsa 390 convertible, VIN confirmed 7F03Yxxxxxx my friend wont let me post the entire vin. So is this thing rare or how many were produced? Thanks for any the info you can give me.

why is he scared of posting the vin? so then you confirmed it's a 68? 67 390 should have been an s code 4v.
