Side Pipes?
I mentioned in another post that my 66 Fastback is going in for some major work next week. Included in the parts list is the TCP push rod suspension, which takes up a lot of what used to be open space. Consequently, the only way to route the exhaust tips through the rear of the car is with some custom bending and using a modified fuel cell (apparently my shop has done this beforeand Fuel Safe has plans on hand for the set up). I was planning on going with a fuel cell anyway, so incremental cost will end up being $500 to $700.
The other option would be side exit exhausts, like the 65 Shelby... this would be a much cheaper and easier solution, though would create much more noise in the cabin.
Opinions appreciated!
Cheers.

I was thinking of doing a custom side exhaust on a mustang I wanted to buy. The mustang just had cherries right under the floor pans with no pipes out the back. The deal fell through tho. If you dont like the side dont do it bc ull regret it. But if you enjoy the look.... go for it
