Default Local parts stores?

Does anyone know if chain parts stores like Advanced Auto, Autozone, etc. carry parts for our Mustangs? I remember buying my tierods and stuff from Advanced, but does anyone know if they would carry the full front brake setup?

Lol, and please dont tell me to just call and ask. Ive had my wisedom teeth pulled and cant talk[&o]

Yeah, fortunately most auto supply places carry most of the parts to keep our classics running.

It would probably be cheaper to buy the parts locally than getting the whole shebang on ebay, correct? Assembly is not an issue for me...

Just picked up wiper blades, and a replacement hose from the washer resevoir to the pump unit from Advanced Autoparts. Checker has also had some parts as well as Autozone. Depends on what it is and how specialized...

They were using some of the parts on these classic Mustangs up through the 80's. It all depends on what part you need. I know you can get wheel cylinders, radiators, hoses, and water pumps at a local parts store or one of the big chains.

You do know that if you go to autozone.com you can lookup your parts yourself and even reserve them at the store for you to pickup.

Most of the classic Mustang parts are relatively generic. I go to Autozone for the regular items (belts, hoses, clamps etc.) and NAPA for hardware and a lot of harder to find stuff. Summit is where most of my more expensivethings come from but they're local for me.
