You might look at the dynasty green in an original 65 color if you are into that type of color.

To the original poster, what color is your interiorso that we know what exterior would match?
my car came with the caspian originally, but it was painted over with ford midnight blue metallic.
So I'm not going to change until the paint falls off :-)
the combination looks good on the picture you posted, but I'd love to see a better picture of the caspian blue.
This looks like dark grey with some hint of green

For what it's worth, I dont know how many colors Ford offered for the Mustang in 1965, butI do know that thereare perhaps millions of other colors worthy of consideration.
I don't have anything against the original colors, but to me, it seems a bit confining to limitcolor options to the fewstock colorsthat were offered over 40 years ago.
Compounding this effect, in my opinion anyway, is thatthe already limited choices of stock colors is further narrowed down by the practical eliminationof the stock colors that suck.
If I were a young man I would not want to believe that I would beobliged topainting my Mustang only from a selection of stock colors. (as a matter of fact, I dont like the idea much now that I am old either.)
(stirrin the pot,,,,,)

This guys car is caspian blue or as close to that I've seen. I plan on doing my 66 fastback in this color enven though it was not avaible in 66. I don't care for the 66 blues.
