got a pair of fiberglass lower shelby side scoops as a vday present. they are the "functional" type. can someone tell me how side scoops are "fuctional"? i always thought they were for show only. also, how do you install these?

 

on the race cars they had a tube going to them to the rear brakes to cool them most people just put them on for looks

 

the mustang depot has instructions for that show you how to install there scoops i'm sure you could just use those.

 

There is a section cut out behind them allowing air to be directed at the rear rotors, thus cooling them.

 

Coupe or Fastback? Notta worka onna coupe. Fastback no gotta little window in way of duct hose.

 

you can make it functional in for thecoupe but that makes it so the little rear window non functional, if i had a coupe i'd wouldn't make emm functional if i had a fastback and had the skills, time and or money i'd make emm functional
