Default harbor freight

Has anyone ordered some tool/equips from harbor freight, I am planning on getting some stuff but like some of the prices are so ridiculously low that I cant help but be skeptical.

there is actually a harbor frieght about 45 minutes from my place. they ARE really cheap, and you WILL get what you pay for.

need some cheap screwdrivers, extensions, ratchet straps, air compressor fittings, whatever... their a GREAT deal. but dont expect to buy anything that SHOULD be made with a little quality.

If it's something you only plan on using once or very rarely, go ahead and get it from Harbor Freight. If you want something that will last you the rest of your life, you won't find it at Harbor Freight. Having said that, I do have quite a few things n my garage from Harbor Freight. I have a few real nice wrenches that were my grandfather's and a bunch of cheap stuff from Harbor Freight. I snapped the head off a crescent wrench that I bought there, but they gave me a new one to replace it. I haven't snapped any other wrenches since.

Be skeptical. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from them and IMO, most of their products are throw away. They do have some good buy's but if you're looking for tools that will last, Harbor Freight isn't the place.

I was driving by their parking lot sale one time and bought a $10 grinder made in china, that thing has been beaten to death for the past several months and is still going strong - if you are going to use this in your daily work, you would never buy here but for the weekend warrior it will usually do for the simple and easy stuff..... I have been eying the parts washer to sit on the bench because it is only like $75 and I could clean tools and stuff so this might be something I would get there (pump would probably go out after a few weeks )

I agree, if you are gonna useit every day, Harbor Frieght is not your store. But for the average weekend warrior (myself), you can't beat the values on tools. I have a couple of the air nailers. They are great.
