my grandpa has a 1966 fastback T-5 (SPECIAL BUILT IN GERMANY THTS NOT THE TRANY) does anybody know how much it would be worth? great condition wins a bunch of car shows

Yeah, we know about the T-5's. Probably worth well over 15K euro. Paddy probably has a more accurate figure if it is in Germany.

So, your grandpa brought the T5 back from Germany obviously. Here in the United States, the T5 is not not worth any more than any other 65 fastback. Sure it is unusual because it was assembled in Germany, but that was 42 years ago. Put it up for sale on Ebay for 15 K USD. If you get some hits then maybe it will be worth that much.

i thought they were made here and shipped there thats the reason you can buy an export brace they were put on the cars being exported?

Yes, that's right. His grandpa probably ordered it through AAFEES. Or, the PX for those of you who don't know what AAFEES is.

Yeah, that is what we all know already. The T-5 was shipped to Germany and American soldiers could actually buy one through the Post Exchange Service. In fact, today you can buy just about any American automobile through Afees at just about any and all posts overseas even today.
