65/66 interior vs. 67 and above
Just curious as to what most of you guys prefer for Mustang interiors and why...
As for myself, I think there is something speical about the early Mustang interiors before all the Federal regulations (paded steering wheels, dashs etc.) I am not as crazy about the latter steering wheels and "fatter" seats.
I especially like the pony interior - it has a distinctive design signature.

I prefer the '65 standard interior. It is simple and understated, just perfect. I like the '66 just a tad less because of the dash which straddles the radio and the "mesh" fabric in the center of the seats. Oh yeah, the all metal dash with the radio peering out is great.

I went with the sport seat foam for the front seats ( see how the sides flare out - provides much more support and is a ton more long ride friendly). Rear is standard. Parchment Pony interior and standard belts. I may opt for 3point down the road.
I prefer the 67 w/ delux style interior and both consoles. Of course w/ a moder touch like procar type seats, and a few other nick nacks. I think a black delux interior is just damned sexy!
I agree. The earlier interior - to me - has a very distinctive look. By the way, Soaring, your interior looks brand new in the photos. Superclean! Did you just restore it?
