Default 67 and 68?

We got a 67 convertible, and my dad hates the side scoops. So we bought Shelby side scoops to put on it. However, He didn't want the functional scoops the 67's had, so i told him to get 68's, because they where basically the same car. Well, However i think im wrong because the 68 scoop is too small for the 67 quarter panel. Am i right, or what??? im confused now.[:'(]

They are different. The 8's are more recessed or concave than the 7's.

On page 148 of their cat EM30, they show a 67 Shelby scoop X1041LH and RH these are functional. Then for a 68 Shelby X1025LH and RH, these are non functional. And a 68 California Special closed mouth X1028LH and RH. Will the 68's you have not fit", It may require you alter the stud and maybe even trim them to fit. I can take photos if you need.

After looking at their website, they will have to be fitted (trimed) to fit, as with most aftermarket fiberglass parts.Still I think you willbe OK with these.

They're too small though. It they were too big, that wouldn't be a problem. I'll try and take a picture of the fitting, and see if it looks right to you or what.

The newer eleanor scoops will fit to the body lines. The originals are recessed like mine. Here are a few pics when I first fit them. And yes, you have to fit them. I even added an extra stud with epoxy because I pulled one off when installing them.

Here is a 23 year old pic of my 67. The scoops I bought then were much better quality than the crap they are putting out today.
