My car is smoking on both sides where the exhast manifolds connect to the intermedaite pipes. I am assuming (hoping) it's just the clamps of whatever connects the two. Can anyone tell me what I need to replace these piece's so I can look up the items to but new ones? Thanks, Scott
There are gaskets that fit in the flange between the manifold and the pipes, they are pretty easy to replace as long as your bolts aren't rusted in place.
Trust me you DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT want to break and exhaust bolt. I had the "pleasure" of working on a car for a friend of mine this weekend. Whatever *&(*&$#(*&%$#(*& worked on it before me stripped the exhaust bolts to all hell so when i took them off the studs were shot. Long story short....6 hours later and Carbide drill bit we finally had it fixed....But it ain't pretty.
I don't understand what is smoking. Are you thinking the donuts are smoking somehow? I've never heard of that. Check to make sure you aren't getting oil dripping on the clamp.
