Does anybody know about the original 4 speed shifter for 65 mustang, is there suposed to be a cable or spring run through the handle for the detent and if so where can I get one and how much should it cost

Yes there is a cable inside the shifter but it looks like the only way to get it repo it to buy the whole lever which is about $150 for NPD
