I have a 67 FB with repo front fenders, and of course the right fender doesn't have a hole for the antenna, so at first I wanted to mount it on the rear quarter panel, now I'm thinking of not having one at all. But I still want to have radio reception, what type of an antenna do they make for this type of modification. What do the restomoders do?
I can't speak for the "Restomoders", but I like the idea of putting it in back. To do that I guess it wwould be very important to get a long enough cale to reach the unit in the dash. As well, a motorised retractable would be cool so that it disappears into the panel when the ignition or the radio is turned off.
I was actually thinking about getting rid of mine when I have the car repainted. The engine is too loud with the headers, cam and 2 chamber flowmasters anyway. Wouldn't trade that sound for any stereo system!
