Default 67 Conv. Questions

I have a 67 convert. that I am considering doing some mods on. This was my first car in highschool and I am getting ready to pass it on to my son. I am thinking of switching the brakes to disc, doing some engine work on the 289, new wheels, front and rear suspension upgrades, switching to 5 lug, yadda, yadda, yadda, and quite a few other things. Here are my questions. 1) please tell me some of the best places to find these parts at good prices. (I have an NPG book and have been looking at Las Vegas Mustang) Not sure if that is the right direction. 2) the car is in fairly good condition but could use some love. Does this bring the value down or what will it do for the value. I think everthing is original except the color has been changed (prior to me getting the car in 1988) and the engine & transmission have been changed. Any guess on what the value might be at this time? Obviously I am green at this, so some serious advice would be welcomed.

You probably need a total overhaul on the suspension. Evidently the car was an original 6 banger, which is a 6 banger suspension/rear end. I would start with upgrades there.
