Default 65 Fastback air intake loovers

I have never been too fond of these and I am looking to replace. I like a couple setups that I have seen that include the side scoops (as seen on shelbys) and the piece that covers the whole like I racing cars. Any thoughts on my options or suggestions on what to do?

The fastbacks have side scoops/loovers just behind the door before the back glass. The open to the interior and have a slide to recieve air inside. I am looking for options to replace or remove.

Personally I like the plastic windows like the ones on the 66 350 shelbys, you can buy them from different vendors like Tony Branda for what I been told they are nor easy to install and you have to some modification after the removal of the loovers.

They don't let air inside...they evacuate it to the outside due to the low pressure on the outside of the car. This combined with the cowl vents pushing air in was a very good ventilation system to use with the windows up...like in the rain. The ones on
Shelby's created a venturi affect that increased the air flow.

Man those windows look good. And your car looks good too. Now get back, finish it up so we can see a pic of it on the road, and don't forget to get the laundry done,It's waiting for you in the door way..
