'68 stangs rare???
Did not see many 68's when I was looking for a Mustang and now there is another one across the street from my office for sale.
They want about $5000. to much.
I had a 66 years ago, I like the 68 except for the seats.

They didn't make alot of them because Ford had a strike back in 68, which stopped production on the 68's. I Truly dont like 68 and up because of the side lights, steering wheel, etc. I like the 65-67's for that stuff. HOWEVER, I would still take a 68-69, but past that, i wouldnt buy a mustang, too big, too heavy, etc.
i like the 68's the most (obviously) and I noticed the same thing when I was searching for mine... took a while - esp. a convertible / v8 / manual... finally gave up on a 302 and went w/ the #'s match 289
Before I got my '69 mach I was looking for 68's. They are my favorite year besides the 69 of course
I don't like the 67's because of the side slates, a little cheesy in my opinion. To each their own, but they are all still great.

Woouldn't call a 68 stang rare.........they or the 67's just weren't built in the staggering numbers as the earlier 65/66's. Truely rare 68's are limited production modles, like the california specials, special promotional vehicles, etc.Easier to find a 68 than a 67,anyways......They were the first stangs to offer upgraded safety upgrades..........Me personally, i think the best looking of the early cars are the 67 fastbacks, though i love my 67 notchback
RANDY AND BOB always run ad's in the sunday paper in PHX AZ looking for old cars,,,they seem to want to buy old hot cars like some people flip houses,,,strictly for investment reasons,,,fact is that even a carcass is worth money and you can buy one and ,,,do nothing and it will be worth money in X amount of time,,,,kills me cauase people on a budget want to take a shot and get priced out by so called american business practices

I looked for my 68 for a few years - granted I wasn't searching very hard, but there were always 67's for sale .... not true w/ 68's
neither is 'rare', particularly if you're talking run of the mill types like mine, but obviously if your preference is a 68 it's gonna be a little harder to find
