Default Update!

Here is a pic of the car as of last weekend. The body work is finished up, new moser axles with a 3.55 posi unit. New rear suspension with 5 layer leaf springs, 90/10 shocks in the front, new monte carlo bar and export brace, new boss 429 scoop. Its painted in the black primer again. New winshield, all the molding including grill molding kit, all new lights, and a working speedo. I am sure i am forgetting a few thing. Let me know what you think.
Matt

You can take those rear shackle extensions off and drop that *** end down some and it would look a lot better. Your car looks like what we used to do back in the 70's before we knew better. Otherwise she's looking good bro.

A shackle is the rear connection point of a leaf spring. You can see that his have an extra extension to make the back of the leaf spring hang lower, therefore making the back of the car higher. This was a very popular way to get that look way back in the 70's, but mustang guys have become educated in that the geometry of the shackle extensions causes wheel hop and a whole lot less traction to the rear wheels. The rear ends of thesse cars have a ton of handling problems too. Looks cool, but is decidedly not cool as far as handling is concerned.
