Default Towing 67

Towing my 67 to the shop tomorrow to get my suspension redone, quick question maybe it is dumb but they are just pulling the front end up so should I pull the driveline out, or will it be ok to leave in for the 13 mile tow. It is a c-4. Thanks guys

Pull the drive shaft. Don't take a change on blowing the trans.

Can not tow it from the back seeing that the front tierod end is broke and there for the car will not roll on it's front wheels, can not flat bed it because it is in my garage and you can not get at it with a flat bed, I am hoping they can just pull the front up and get it out of the garage then put it on the flat bed. Will see thanks .

you could always kick the wheels tell they straight out and push it out of the garage or make a temp fix a small size piece of pipe with 2 bolts one in each tierod hole in the spindles

It would be simpler to just drop the driveshaft and pull it from the front.

my uncle owns a towing company so ive had the chance to learn alot about the business and as long as its a good driver he should be able to get a car out of a garage as long as its not too far in there. And i agree if the do send a wrecker instead of a flat bed i would pull the drive shaft that would definently make things easier for them

You really don't want to tow a mustang from the rear....The front wheels will track different directions, you don't want that.I've never had a problem towing my 67 for short distances......For long ones, yeah ,drop the shaft,or better yet, ask for a roll back.

you can do what they do with newer cars that dont have locking steering wheels you can take the seat belt and wrap it around the steering wheel a couple of times and then buckle it itll stop the wheel from moving

but since there is a problem with the front end this is useless info
